We are currently recruiting for a full time Executive Director of the Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation and will report to our Sherwood location. Ensure the sustainability of the Foundation and execute philanthropic strategies to meet the Foundation's mission and vision, while enhancing the positive image of Delta Dental of Arkansas. Collaborate with the senior leadership and the foundation board to develop long-range strategic direction, programs, policies, systems, and procedures to achieve the strategic goals of the Company.  Primary Job Responsibilities: Oversee the implementation of the Foundation's strategic plan, including the development and execution of tactics to meet the strategic priorities, using tools of philanthropy that has the greatest impact on improving oral health. Oversee development of the foundation's business plans, timelines, and budgets for meeting Foundation's mission and strategic priorities. Collaborate with community partners such as foundations, public policy makers, academic institutions, public health leaders and community organizations on issues, projects and programs to inform our work and to assure that the Foundation is recognized as a leader in Arkansas in improving oral health. Work closely with and ensure that the Foundation Board of Directors are fully informed and consulted on the work of the Foundation and that required authorizations are obtained on all funding initiatives, grants, and projects undertaken or funded by the Foundation. Work with the Board to maintain fiscal accountability for the activities and grants of the Foundation. Represent and act as spokesperson for Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation at public forums, and at the national, state, and local levels. Effectively manage, coach, and develop Foundation and community benefit staff to ensure activities are carried out in alignment with the Foundation's strategic plan and annual objectives. Work closely with Board to ensure the Foundation's Strategic Plan is regularly updated and aligned with the work done by the Foundation. Ensure the Foundation's continuous compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Oversee and execute DDAR Foundation community benefit programs in a way that ensures activities are integrated into the community and that the programs reflect on and carries out DDAR's non-profit status. Promote alignment and collaboration across DDAR departments and the DDAR Foundation. Develop, oversee and ensure appropriate management and execution of all DDAR Foundation community benefit activities and programs. Participate as a member of the DDAR Leadership Team, providing input and identifying opportunities to align foundation and corporate philanthropy activities in support of the company's mission of improving oral health. Raise visibility of DDAR and the Foundation by attaining a position on a non-profit Board of Directors. Minimum Qualifications: Position requires a bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field such as Marketing, Master's degree preferred, and five to seven years' experience in the nonprofit/public health arena. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. Position requires strong oral and written communication skills, project management skills, ability to work independently, time management skills, and intermediate experience working with the Microsoft Office suite of products. Expert knowledge of and experience with the practices, policies, and procedures associated with health, public health and/or oral health fields. Working knowledge of laws and regulations governing tax exempt status. Expert ability to exercise initiative and judgment as well as make decisions with the scope assigned authority. 18-1595
